Pearls of Wisdom

Traditionally, a 30th anniversary is symbolized as a Pearl event. Now, a pearl is not just about beauty but about endurance and wisdom too. It is the layered growth over time that signifies substance over style and resilience over rewards. Furthermore, since no two pearls are ever alike, it lends credence to the idea that each such anniversary must be the harbinger of a build-up of events reflecting unique proportions.

In the spirit of the above, once upon a time, three decades ago, the bustling metropolis of Bombay had just been reanointed as Mumbai. This rebirth of sorts was being witnessed by two emboldened individuals separated by the north-south divide within the city. In the north, a career employee was taking his first steps towards entrepreneurship while in the south, a career novice was dreaming of becoming a bonafide CA before the age of twenty-two. The only thing akin to these two individuals was their innate need to chart their respective independent life stories despite having everything to the contrary within their respective backgrounds. Also, both these individuals had no clue that their paths would coincide almost two decades later thereby creating a combined force that will take them both simultaneously to even greater heights during their decade of togetherness.
